I Love Lace!

31 Jan

I have been having so much fun trying out new colors and styles of lace each time I restock for my shop.

Right now, I’m awaiting the arrival of some glorious mustard yellow scalloped stretch lace (so cheery for spring!), a delicate navy lace (the same pattern as the teal and plum headbands currently available), and more!  Sneak peeks of the incoming new lace selections below.  Get excited! Click on each photo for more details on the pictured lace.

Keeping busy

26 Jan

It’s been a couple weeks since my last post.  Not for lack of output here at MarcyKK, though!  It’s been fun to try some new things in recent weeks, ultimately adding some new designs to my shop.  Bitty Blooms and Pretty Poppies are still selling like hotcakes, and I’m excited about The Lily – a new felt floral design with a touch of my latest obsession – TULLE.

Here’s a peek at The Lily, followed by some highlights from a tulle-tastic treasury collection!

Midnight Oil

Some folks find their way into trouble if they stay up and/or out too late!  Me, I find myself up to my elbowys in crafty-goodness!  The last couple of weeks have offered some fantastically productive nights around the Schuermann household.  I added the Pretty Poppy Headband collection to my shop (I think they must be my new bestselling style!), and then started plowing through my existing stock of felt fabric and faux floral pieces.  I resolved to use up what I’ve got before purchasing any new supplies (embellishments excluded, of course), and it’s been fun to revisit colors and flowers that had shifted to the bottom of the storage tubs in months gone by.  Here’s a peek!

What do you think?

I’m still sorting out my packaging plans for some of my existing products (although I am definitely happy with the tins I’m now using for felt rollups, bitty blooms, pretty poppies and lace headbands), but am already looking ahead to what’s coming next for my shop.

I’m considering adding “big girl” headbands to my product line – probably wrapped in fun colors of yarn or covered with lace from my existing stretch lace collection.  I like the texture that these coverings would bring to the table.  Of course, any ribbon (satin, grosgrain, velvet, etc.) could be used to cover headbands as well.  I’m curious to hear what you think about these possibilities!

I’d also love to hear about the existing items that you’d like to see available in a greater selection.  The Pretty Poppies headbands have been a big hit, and I do love them, but the Felt Rollups are probably my favorite overall.  Of course, the Bitty Blooms and other faux floral clips are popular as well.  What would you like to see more of?
